Testing & Performance Methodology

How We Test and Grade Hardware

Compatibility calculations on MyPcBenchmark use a normalized performance scoring system. Each CPU and GPU is tested and graded based on its clock speed, instruction-per-clock (IPC) efficiency, core count, thread efficiency, VRAM size, memory bandwidth, and thermal performance.

Normalization Formula

We normalize scores from 0 to 10000. An RTX 4090 sits at 10000, representing the maximum gaming capability. Minimum system specs are matched against this performance ranking scale to establish minimum compatibility thresholds.
